Tina’s Red Hot Beef Burrito- Review

Sometimes a company just plays it right down the line, just as they should, and the result is both magical and practical. Such is the Tina’s Red Hot Beef burrito. It’s cheap, easy to make and has enough good flavor that is doesn’t drown in spice and enough spice to accentuate the flavor that’s there. For a spicy microwaveable meal, it’s a necessary attribute.

It’s hard to say, at this point, if this is the best Tina’s Burrito or not- the normal Beef and Bean can put up a great fight when it wants to. But what is undeniable is that the Red Hot Beef always shows up and delivers in one way or another. It’s not the prettiest burrito, it’s not the spiciest, or the beefiest, but what this burrito has is character. I’ve had it for lunch, dinner, late night drunk snack and it’s always there for me. It deserves credit for that. I mean it’s like $1.29 and provides beefy, spicy sustenance when you need it most.

It can be difficult taking the leap of faith to eat a frozen burrito. Believe me, I understand. But once you do…something takes hold of you and you realize the difference between frozen burrito’s and the Ruth Chris is just imagined comfort and class. None of it’s real. You got a dollar in your pocket? This tastes great. You had some beers and obviously can’t drive to the store? This hits the spot.

In America we hate poor people and so we villify shit like frozen burritos. What are you, in college? Yeah. I am. And you know, I used to hate the idea of a frozen burrito when I was in undergrad. Because I’d never had one. But now I know better, because I’ve learned from my mistakes and my circumstances. Never sleep on a frozen burrito kids, and it you get to pick one- well, this is not a bad choice.
